Excellent education can stop exodus of talent students from Jalna.

Excellent education  can stop exodus  of talent students from Jalna.
                       By-AHMED NOOR
A decent education is a passport to a good, comfortable and secure life. The thread of the growth of society depends upon the quality of education that is being imparted. The better the quality education makes the better people, better economy and better living.
As far as concern the education scenario in Jalna district , the quality of education is improving  slowly. However picture of government schools is dismal. Despite of expending large chunk of funds for spreading literacy and enhancing quality of education in government schools, they could not get fruitful result. Education standard   government schools are deplorable. That is why parents prefers to send their wards to privates schools, that is too in English medium schools.
If we look at the statistics of literacy of the district we find, there are some growth but quality  is not maintained.  Average literacy rate of Jalna in 2011 were 73.61 compared to 64.42 of 2001. If things are looked out at gender wise, male and female literacy were 85.25 and 61.28 respectively. For 2001 census, same figures stood at 79.15 and 49.07 in Jalna District. Total literate in Jalna District were 1,234,433 of which male and female were 735,402 and 499,031 respectively. In 2001, Jalna District had 870,399 in its district. The Jalna Zilla Parishad runs about 1400 schools in which 33 are high schools which spread in rural parts of the district. The Right to Education which has been introduced by the government showed new era of education sector. However there is much confusion and hurdles of its implementation. .
More over 500 private schools  aided and non aided  are being run in the district. The district has engineering college, polytechnic colleges. It has also been making leaps and bound in higher education sector too.
Mushrooming non-grant schools and colleges lead degrading education standard. Unaided schools and colleges face paucity funds as result of lack of infrastructure and low salary to teachers are major hurdles in maintaining  good education. Though  there are  large numbers of education institutions, very few education institutions maintain quality and excellence education-that is too English medium schools. That is why an exodus of talent and cream of students  to other cities particularly  Aurangabad and  Pune. Principal of   Saint Mary' School, Fr. George said  the government is only spending money on education, it  is needed  sincere  efforts and dedication  from    teachers and  education department  in improving of education in government schools. If these  things are maintained, poor of strata of class  can good education in government schools.
. Educationists feel that if the district has improved standard quality of education, the large number of exodus of talents can be stopped. The director of Scholars' Career Academy, Kailash Pawar said  the  quality of education of a student depends on various factors like the teaching to which he is exposed, the educational facilities and environment available in the institution.  If these things available  in a small town, like Jalna, migrating  of the toppers  can be stopped

In order to overcome this impasse, it is essential that education performs a necessary role and can remove the evil of communalism... Secular Character of the Institution.:-

The Institution is run by minority but it has been maintaining secular character through out. The post of president has always been enjoyed by the members majority community since the beginning and even today.

Then chief ministers late Vilasrao Deshmukh,Shivaji Shivajirao Nilangekar visited the institution and appreciated secular character of the institution. In his speech, Vilasrao Deshmukh said this institution is the perfect example of secularism where  Dr. Shankar Rakh  is President   and   Dr. Mohd. Badruddin is Secretary.  He said the  example is  an unparalleled  for upholding secular ethos by giving the post of president to a member of the Majority community. He said I have not seen or heard such example. He urged the people to follow the example.  This is unique example in the whole of Maharashtra when the post of president is enjoyed by the person from the majority community since inception  till today.
Vilasrao Deshmukh said I am very confident that no society or institution can cite such example of Hindu and Muslim unity, National Integration and in the country solidarity.
Being an important town with the population three lakh and having about 20 high schools, the students of Minority community felt the absence of a Junior College of Science and Art steams. The Anjuaman Ishate Taleem, under the guidance of Dr.Mohd Badruddin started junior college. Dr.Mohd Badruddin has been associated with social and education institutions. He was founder member of prestigious Maulana Azad Education Society Aurangabad , founded by great scholar Dr.Mohd Rafiq Zakaria and Janta Education Society Jalna.
He has been widely acclaimed as a scholar, educator and secular person. Still, in his 76 age, he has been disseminating the message of peace and amity through lectures and meetings. His lectures focus on the need for national integration and communal harmony. In his one lecture, he said communal harmony does not only mean an absence of communal tensions, strife and riots. It is something deeper, something emotional. He said the harmony implies mutual understanding, peaceful co-existence, cooperation and coordination among all the constituents of a community. He said harmony means proper conformity of the parts to one another and to the whole. Harmony is natural, disharmony is man-made. When this harmony gets disturbed in a body, it becomes sick and when natural or ecological harmony is broken, it leads to disasters.
Thus he is an advocate of a culture of peace, communally harmony and working for national integration.

The month of Ramadan heightens Spiritual Quotient.

The month of Ramadan heightens Spiritual Quotient. .
                         By-AHMED NOOR
Psychologists Zohar and Marshall used the term ‘Spiritual Intelligence’(SI) which is the expression of innate spiritual qualities through our thoughts, actions and attitude. It is about the growth of a human being. It is about moving on in life. According to them, Human beings are spiritual in nature. Spirituality is a natural state for all of us. A problem arises when we don’t take our spirituality seriously. People argue that the SI is the basic foundation for an effective use of Intelligence Quotient (IQ) and Emotional Quotient (EQ). A person who has highly IQ and EQ, can be physically alive but he is spiritually dead., if he has no spiritually quotient. It means one can’t be physically and mentally healthy until one has spiritually healthy. Any person who has a high Spiritual Quotient will definitely be extremely wise. He is peaceful, honest and trust-worthy. He is charismatic and understand complex issues with ease. He is loyal, highly adaptable, accommodative and compassionate He is tremendous capability to work under pressure. He is patience and has high will power. He does not yield to any temptation. The month of Ramadan creates an atmosphere of piety, atonement, sympathy, forgiveness, charity, harmony and compassion. These qualities heighten Spiritual Quotient. It is a foundation of core beliefs and a better, holistic understanding of one’s purpose in life. Allah says in the holy Quran ‘Ramadan is the month in which was sent down the Quran as a guide to humanity and as a clear sign of guidance and judgment ( between right and wrong). So any one of you witnesses the month o f should spend it in fasting.’ Fast is one of best acts of worship during the Ramadan. It is mandated by Allah the purify the soul along with the practice of good deeds. It is a state of mind that transcends the physical restrain. It gives man the power to keep in check his unruly desires and tendencies. .It teaches being honest to yourself as well as others. It reminds observers they are accountable to themselves. The month of Ramadan teaches spiritual discipline which is a tool that helps to connect the physical body and mind and in deeply connected to God. During the fast, the most sublime quality is developed is – patience which is the pinnacle of self-mastery and spiritual agility. It is said that one moment of patience may ward off great disaster and one moment of impatience may ruin a whole life. Charity is another virtue, which brings peace to the giver. Deeds of charity protect one from the conflicts and problems of life. Thus the month of Ramadan increases Spiritual Quotient which helps to intelligence quotient and emotional quotient. These quotients create a healthy atmosphere for the individual as well for the entire human society.

Ramazan, the month of self-control and control of negative emotions

Ramazan, the month of self-control and control of negative emotions

Ramazan, the month of self-control  and control of  negative emotionsBy –AHMED NOOR
Humans, like animals, have emotions. They may be pleasant such as joy or unpleasant such as anger. During the Ramazan, Muslims attempt to adopt pleasant emotions and reorient themselves towards being better humans. They try to keep away worldly pleasures and passions and desires.
It is the special prayers designed to develop in man the ability to exercise self-restraint and patience for the pleasure of Allah, man's Creator. ‘Prayer restrains one from shameful and unjust deeds; and remembrance of God is the greatest thing in life, without doubt’. (The holy Quran). Its objective is to give man the power to keep in check his unruly desires and tendencies that make him prone to greed, revenge, anger, provocation and fear; that make him commit various sins, acts of aggression, cruelty and oppression.
When a Muslim observes fast, he is able to control his two most basic urges namely the digestive and the reproductive, it becomes easier to contain the others. Fasting however is not merely about avoiding food and drink; it is also about building your character. “Make your character good for the people.“ said Prophet Muhammad (PBHU). A Muslim is advised to practice strict control over those destructive emotions, and to repent if they influenced deeds or attitudes towards others. To do so, one is expected to maintain strong ties with God, and to draw strength and support from Him at all times. Said the Prophet, “Strong is not the one who overcomes people by his strength, but he who controls himself while in anger.” Muslims are asked to adopt forgiveness because forgiveness is the attribute of the strong not the weak. Anger comes when ego hurts. Unless one let go of the ego one will not able to let go of anger. The source of all misery, anger, anguish and envy is hidden in one’ ego. And fasting is an act of liberation from ego.
Eventually to fast means to learn individually and collectively to give, to resist and to serve. Fasting Muslims can really sympathize with the starving people everywhere in the world and see the hardship that they go through every day of their lives. A fasting person has feelings of sympathy for the poor. The Prophet Muhammad (s) said: “There is reward for kindness to every living thing.”
The sense of compassion springs from the feeling of pain. Fasting helps in rearranging the mind-from chaos to order, from psychic anarchy to psychic harmony.
Muslim is directed to check inordinate desires. Inordinate desires create greed, greed creates competition and competition creates jealousy. One things leads to another, and we go on falling into the mess, into the turmoil of the inner world. The fourth Calipha of Islam Hazart Ali said ‘One who rushes madly after inordinate desire, runs the risk of encountering destruction and death. ------The best kind of wealth is to give up inordinate desires.’
Patience is a virtue.Islam ordains Muslim to observe patience. ‘For the sake of thy Lord, be patient!’ (The Holy Quran). One can achieve more by patience than with talent. A man who is master of patience is master of everything else. Patience is a plaster for all sores. ‘Therefore do they hold patience, a patience of beautiful (contentment)’ said in The Holy Quran.
To train yourself to abstain from the essentials of life is not an easy act. It needs a strong personality to dictate self-control, self-discipline and self-restraint. Fasting develops self-control and helps Muslims overcome negative emotions which are harmful to an individual as well as the whole society. To control destructive emotions means to replace positive emotions like love, forgiveness, patience and generosity. Ramazan month practices all these things. It is an annual training program to refresh Muslims for carrying out their duties towards God.

Islam- positive living and happiness.

                                                Islam- positive living and happiness.
By- AHMED NOOR

Islam believes in state of happiness   acquired by virtue of positive attitude and constructive approach to his fellow beings.
According to Islam life is precious and God gives life to man with unique qualities and great abilities.  The man  possesses   passions of love, fear, anger and so on. . His life and success depend on the proper use of these powers for the fulfillment of his needs and requirements.
    Know  yourself .
To reach true happiness, we need to know what is the purpose of our life, how to reach success in the world  and  the hereafter.
As Muslims, we believe that God –Allah- created the universe, and gave it laws so it would run with such amazing precision.  God said in  the Holy Quran ‘We have indeed created man is the best of moulds’  Believe in yourself means have faith on God, abilities and qualities which entrusted by Him.  Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) said   Whoever knows himself knows God.”
 Positive attitude
Our attitude depend on our emotions. And emotions flows love, hope, enthusiasm and hate and anger.  Islam asked Muslim  to use such emotions  in a proper way so that   they would live  in positive  way. Islam teaches   men  how  they behave  or live   in  home, in public, in country   and rest  of the world.  One who has  positive attitude  to others, he  receives the same  feed back.    Islam believes on   that treat not others in ways that you yourself would find hurtful.  .Prophet, Mohammad (PBUH) said ‘Not one of you truly believes until you wish for others what you wish for yourself.
The Prophet teaches that no one's faith is complete until they love for others what they love for themselves. A true Muslim reacts positively to all the events in his life. .Armed with his positive attitude, he safeguards himself from the negative and the harmful.
Love and compassion—Love and Compassion flow  out a heart to others it means  it is bound to respond with positive thoughts.  Through  compassion one  will share  happiness with others.
According  to Islam   None of you is a true believer is Islam until and unless he loves for his fellow man what he loves for his own self.  Love begets love. The best way to win somebody’s’ affection is to treat him or her in a loving manner. Love can overcome any obstacle or opposition.               The God likes mercy and love because He is  the most merciful and compassion.  The Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) said: ““Allah will not be merciful to those who are not merciful to people.”
If man has compassion and love, he doesn’t  suffer any more. Man suffer because he has no compassion.  So man encounters  the same types of people  and  the same situation. . It is said happiness does not depend on what happens to us but on how we react to what happens to us. Always choose to be happy and avoid negative thoughts  because negatives   obstructs progress.
Forgiveness – Forgiveness   is the best form of maintaining and human relation. Learn to forgive others. This is dictum  of Islam. " And He is the Forgiving, the Loving, " {Holy Qur'an 85:14}.. Among the ninety nine attributes of Allah mentioned in the Holy Quran, forgiveness  is the most of of-repeated and chosen attribute  of Allah. The attribute Ghafoor ( the most forgiving)  appears in the Quran almost of a hundred times.   Without forgiveness life is governed by  an endless cycle, resentment, hatred  and revenges. .
Control anger- Anger can manifest itself in acts of destruction and violence. Anger reaction is a like  to a bullet came  out of control.     Once a man came to the Prophet of Islam, and said O prophet , give me a piece of advice, by which, I may be able to manage all the affairs. The prophet replied don’t be angry. He said a strong person is not the person who throws his adversaries to the ground. A strong person is the one who contains himself when he is angry.  Controlling  anger  means  learning   forgiveness, reconciliation  and  peace.
However  anger is channelised  in a way that enabled them to fight and over come injustice. But one must know how to handle it properly.
So Islam teaches man that he can make himself  happy or unhappy out of the same situation. He has  this capacity, to create for himself ,his  events and situations,  ,out of his  own thinking  and attitude.
